According to this poll, 66% of the potential buyers want to add a two star house to their portfolios, and many investors have lost interest in four star houses. Only 56% of those polled see a luxury hotel as a likely prospect for a successful capital investment at present, the brokerage house report says.

The strong growth in readiness to enter medium-sized Russian cities is said to be striking: at the moment, more than half of the investors who are willing to make acquisitions see good opportunities in those areas, the poll states. Nonetheless, Moscow and St.Petersburg are still at the top of the location popularity scale.

Seventy investment companies and individual investors participated in the poll.
